When Was the Last Time You Played?

Somewhere along the way, being an adult became a very serious business.
We make plans. We follow routines. We turn our free time into something productive. Even our vacations can start to feel like another checklist.
But what if your next reset had nothing to do with being productive?
What if it involved making something strange, following your curiosity, and doing something simply because it looked fun?
That’s the idea behind this week’s Big Find.
Welcome to the Museum Where Adults Get to Be Kids Again

In Columbus, Ohio, there’s a place called Prototype: The Experimental Museum, and it isn’t the sort of museum where you quietly walk past exhibits and read the signs.
This is a playground for curious adults, filled with interactive art, immersive visuals, sound experiences, and experiments that invite you to participate rather than simply observe.
One installation might pull you into a world of light and sound. Another might encourage you to create something of your own. The experience is designed to evolve, so a return visit may offer something different from the last.
And perhaps the most interesting part? This museum was created specifically for people aged 16 and older.
No field trips of little kids running from room to room. Just a chance to explore, experiment, and see what catches your attention.
Why I Love This Idea for a Reset

We tend to think of wellness as something quiet. A massage, a long walk, a weekend away from our usual surroundings.
But there’s another side to feeling good that we don't always make room for: play.
Trying something unfamiliar can interrupt the sameness of everyday life. Curiosity gives your mind something new to follow, and shared experiences can give you something to laugh about long after you leave.
You don't have to turn every free afternoon into a self-improvement project. Sometimes the best thing you can do is choose an experience that makes you feel more curious about the world.
Prototype is an unexpected way to do exactly that.
Make It a Weekend Find
If you're planning a trip to Columbus, build an afternoon around Prototype. Admission is timed, so book ahead through its official website and check the current exhibits before you go.
The museum is at 540 Maier Place, near Scioto Audubon Metro Park. You could make a day of exploring the city, then finish with dinner and a conversation about which installation surprised you most.
It’s a reminder that a reset doesn't always have to mean slowing everything down.
Sometimes, it means letting yourself be surprised.
Your little reminder from Wander & Reset: You’re never too old to try something new, make a mess, laugh at something ridiculous, or follow a little curiosity just to see where it takes you.
Until Monday’s next find,
