🍂 WEEKEND FIND

Take the Scenic Route

Forget the pumpkin patch. Forget the packed fall itinerary. This weekend, go somewhere just to get lost in the leaves.

There is a very specific kind of September and October magic that happens when the trees start changing.

The roads get quieter. The air smells different. Every turn looks like a postcard.

So pick a place with mountains, winding roads and a lot of trees, and make the drive itself the adventure.

🍁 Try the Catskills

Kaaterskill Falls Hike “Image Courtesy of Great Northern Catskills”

The Catskills are made for this.

Start in a small mountain town with coffee and breakfast, then take the scenic route through the forest. Stop at overlooks. Wander into a roadside farm stand. Find a short trail and walk until you feel like you've left the world behind.

Don't chase the perfect photo.

Chase the road with the most color.

🛏️ Where We'd Stay

The Yarra “Image Courtesy of The Yarra”

Book a room at The Yarra in Roscoe, a tiny four-room boutique inn designed for slow mornings and quiet weekends. The inn sits right in the village, with hiking, waterfalls and the surrounding Catskills just minutes away. There's also a seasonal Saturday Supper Club, so you can end your day with dinner without having to get back in the car.

Then wake up, grab your coffee and do it all over again.

The Wander & Reset

No packed itinerary.

Drive until the view makes you stop. Take the trail because it looks interesting. Stay for sunset. Order dessert. Take the long way home.

Fall doesn't last very long. You might as well go looking for it.

See you Thursday,
